Introduction

For those customers who are looking for a targeted deployment of Venafi Sever Encryption Manager in a small, pilot environment, the Kickstart Deployment service is an ideal way to get the project off to a successful start. A Venafi Professional Services Consultant will go to a single customer location and install SEM, perform a targeted discovery, and place up to 25 systems under management. The outcome of this service is an implementation of SEM that will provide immediate value -- preparing an organization to complete the targeted deployment with greater confidence and less risk.

This service will be performed by a Venafi Consultant at the customer location in a five (5) day visit.

Tasks

The tasks to be performed by the Venafi Consultant are as follows:

  • + Planning: The Venafi Consultant will work with the customer's project team to outline the steps needed to perform the discovery and agree on tasks, resources, and timelines for the duration of the engagement.
  • + SEM Implementation: The Venafi Consultant will install and configure SEM on a customer system. The Discovery Engine will be tuned for each customer in order to maximize the number of systems that can be discovered, and minimize the impact on the customer environment.
  • + Targeted Discovery: The Venafi Consultant will work with the project team to do a targeted survey. Systems in immediate danger of outage may be identified at this stage.
  • + Automation: The Venafi Consultant will work with the customer project team to place up to 25 systems under the management with SEM.
