As the CEO of Venafi, he led the creation of the machine identity management category, which has become the next big area of cybersecurity investment for organizations worldwide. Venafi is the recognized leader and innovator with over 30 patents covering every category of machine identity. Additionally, Venafi is the open source leader for machine identity management in Kubernetes. Jeff has guided the growth of Venafi for more than a decade from the early beginnings to a multi-hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue company. Jeff speaks regularly to global audiences at technology and business conferences worldwide, and has been recognized as an Entrepreneur of the Year by Earnst & Young and CEO of the Year by Utah Business.
Prior to joining Venafi, Jeff was the CEO of Vhayu, CEO and co-founder of MS2, CEO of Visioneer, and SVP of corporate development at Informix Software. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of California, Davis.
